Mistfall Hunter ships with six classes, each specializing into one of two weapon paths. You play a Gyldhunter — a fallen warrior resurrected by Dew, the maiden fragment of the Fate Goddess — descending into mist-corrupted ruins to loot and (hopefully) escape. Your class decides how you survive that trip.

Class names vs. what players call them
Mistfall Hunter gives its classes flavour names, so the words you’d normally search don’t appear in-game. The mapping:

What “class” means in an extraction game
Two Mistfall-specific twists change how you should evaluate classes:
- Full-loot death. Die in the ruins and you lose what you carried. A class that survives bad runs (Mercenary, Blackarrow) is worth more than one that wins highlight clips.
- Weapon switching mid-combat. You’re encouraged to swap between your weapons during fights to answer different enemies — so a class’s second weapon path matters more than in most ARPGs.
Picking your first class
- Want to learn the loop safely → Mercenary
- Want big numbers with range → Sorcerer
- Playing solo most nights → Blackarrow (but read playing solo first — solo access is restricted until September)
- Live for player hunts → Shadowstrix
- Always the healer in your friend group → Seer
- Greatswords are a personality → Withered Knight
