Mistfall Hunter Shadowstrix (Rogue) Guide — PvP Assassin
✔ Last checked: 2026-08-12
Shadowstrix is Mistfall Hunter’s rogue — a stealth assassin with dagger and dual blades, built to hunt Gyldhunters rather than monsters. (Looking for the rogue class or a dagger build? Shadowstrix is what this game calls it.) In a game where other players carry their whole inventory on their backs, someone was always going to main this. Be honest with yourself about whether it’s you.
Weapon paths
| Path | Style | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Dagger | Maximum burst from openers | Deleting one target |
| Dual Blades | Faster sustained cadence | Skirmishes that outlive the opener |
The predator loop
- Information first. Watch fights, count squad members, note who’s wounded. Your class resource is knowledge.
- Open on the carry. The Sorcerer melting a Mist Lord is both the biggest threat and the softest target.
- Burst, reassess, vanish. If the opener didn’t decide it, you’re now a light-armor melee class standing in the open — leave.
- Loot fast, extract faster. Every kill announces you.
Strengths
- Best fight-starter in the game: stealth converts patience into kills
- Elite pick-off potential on extraction routes and Woodling fights
- Duels against casters feel unfair (for them)
Weaknesses
- PvE is genuinely harder: packs of Corroded don’t care about your opener
- Full-loot stakes amplify every misplay
- Teams with discipline (a peeling Mercenary, wards of any kind) blunt you badly
Placement: B tier PvE, #1 PvP on the tier list. Setup: Shadowstrix build.
FAQ
Is Shadowstrix the rogue class in Mistfall Hunter?
Yes. Shadowstrix is the stealth dagger class — if you searched for the rogue or dagger build, this is it. The game uses flavour names instead of generic RPG class names, so rogue = Shadowstrix.
Is Shadowstrix good in Mistfall Hunter?
It's the launch meta's premier PvP class — stealth openers plus dagger burst decide fights before they start. In pure PvE it's mid-tier: squishy into packs of Corroded.
Is Shadowstrix hard to play?
Yes, relative to the roster — it's a timing-and-information class. Misjudge one engage and, in a full-loot game, you donate your kit to a stranger.
