Mistfall Hunter Maps — Zones, Modes & Interactive Maps

✔ Last checked: 2026-08-04

Mistfall Hunter launched with two maps — Hallowgrove and Brandrgarde — each doubled by a harder mode, and no, Auric Sandsea is not a third one (it’s an outfit). Here’s what each zone actually plays like, the honest answer on interactive maps, and the landmark names worth knowing before you’re lost in the fog with someone else’s arrows incoming.

The two maps

Map Modes Character Landmark names you’ll hear
Hallowgrove Normal (★★☆☆☆) / Chaos (★★★★☆) Open woodland ruins, relaxed pacing, no closing circle — the learning map Supreme Hall (northwest), Divine Anchor (central), Ancestor Tower
Brandrgarde Normal / Cataclysm Ancient fortress: narrow corridors, chokepoints, and a Gyldenmist that closes over time — the PvP map Sealed Grounds, Main Hall (both tied to the Otto fight)

Mode isn’t just a difficulty star: community guides document gear gates (Brandrgarde Normal listed at minimum 300 equipment value, maximum Epic quality) and the endgame bosses live in the hard modes — Sálmar in Hallowgrove Chaos, quest elites like the Elite Captain too. Solo queue at launch is community-reported as Hallowgrove-only, which is also the Steam forum’s favorite complaint after loot tables.

“How many maps” scorecard: 2 zones, 4 zone-mode combinations, and “more maps” is a top community request — new zones will land on our patch notes page when they’re announced, not before.

Auric Sandsea: the search result nobody expects

People search “auric sandsea” as if it’s a desert zone. Verified answer: it’s a cosmetic outfit — database entries list Outfit: Auric Sandsea – Body. Golden-desert-themed drip, zero square meters of playable geography. If a video or site lists it among “zones”, you’ve learned something about their fact-checking.

Interactive maps: the honest answer

We don’t have an interactive map, and pretending a list of paragraphs is one would waste your time. Two community tools already do this well:

  1. questlog.gg’s interactive map — at last check tracking 85 points of interest, 316 treasure chests and 63 extraction points, plus enemy spawn filters down to boss/lord/elite level.
  2. Gamer Guides’ interactive maps — separate Hallowgrove and Brandrgarde maps marking spawn points, extraction points, treasure chambers, warp rifts, ladders and task locations.

What this site adds instead: route-level judgment — which landmarks are worth the detour at your gear level, which are gank magnets, what the quest actually needs. That’s the map content plan: fewer pins, more opinions. First entries are live on the enemy hunt pages.

Extraction, in one paragraph

You don’t “leave” a raid — you kill a Returner Woodling, interact with its corpse, ring the bell (default H) and hold a 5-second channel. Extraction points are scattered (questlog counts 63 across the maps), and Merchant Woodlings offer a side deal: pay Gyldenblood to send specific items out. On Brandrgarde the closing Gyldenmist decides your extraction window for you; on Hallowgrove the only timer is how greedy you are. Full walkthrough in the beginner guide.

FAQ

How many maps does Mistfall Hunter have?

Two at launch: Hallowgrove and Brandrgarde. Some players count four because each map has a harder mode (Hallowgrove Chaos, Brandrgarde Cataclysm) with different rules and gear gates — but it's two zones of geography.

Is there an interactive map for Mistfall Hunter?

Yes — two mature community tools: questlog.gg's interactive map (tracking 85 POIs, 316 treasure chests and 63 extraction points at last check) and Gamer Guides' per-map interactive maps with spawn points, treasure chambers, warp rifts and ladders. We link them rather than pretend to have built one.

Is Auric Sandsea a map in Mistfall Hunter?

No — despite how it sounds, Auric Sandsea is a cosmetic outfit (database entries list 'Outfit: Auric Sandsea – Body'), not a zone. If you searched it expecting a desert map, that's the answer you were missing.

Which map should solo players run?

Hallowgrove. It's the relaxed, no-closing-circle map, and community reports at launch say solo queue is tied to it — Brandrgarde's closing Gyldenmist and fortress chokepoints are built for squad fights.
